Shirley has almost a decade of experience in the telecommunication industry, having worked in both the mobile and internet sectors. She oversaw the launch of a new broadband service, Magix, currently known as SingNet Broadband and pioneered the use of GPRS, a new mobile technology back in year 2000.
In addition to her accomplishments in the local market, she was also involved in due diligence projects overseas. She was part of SingTel's cross-divisional team which was tasked to study the feasibility of investing in the telecom markets in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
She then joined Yellow Pages Singapore and was involved in developing strategies for the launch of a new mobile directory product.
Her interest for pioneering new products led her to join SPH Search where she's tasked to launch Singapore's very first local mobile search engine.
